Dangers about internet dating

The online dating scene has changed dramatically over the last couple of decades, and more Americans than ever are looking for their perfect match on the web.Looking for your future partner online is no longer thought of as something reserved for only the socially awkward or desperate. And Stephen, who is a father-of-seven, feared that men were taking advantage of his susceptible younger sister.

Then his worst nightmare came true when he read on a local news website that "A 39-year-old woman has been found dead in her flat."He said: "I felt sick to my stomach.

I called the police who told me the news, Sharon was dead."I knew immediately who had killed her.

They were very sexual and he'd even sent her pictures of his privates."I feared he was just after one thing, and told her as much.

She said that chatting to men online made her feel good about herself."She got frustrated by my disapproval, so I dropped the subject.

"She continued her relationship with that monster," her devastated brother said.

Just three days later, on July 13, 2014, police found her dead in her flat in Liverpool.

After the victim gets undressed and potentially shows their “private parts” to the camera the fraudster simply announces that they recorded the session and if they would not receive certain amount of ransom money, the video would be shared with all of the victim’s friends (the fraudster asks for a link to the victim’s social media account in advance).

Speaking for the first time since his sister Sharon Winters was murdered by online lover Kevin Hawke, Stephen urges women to be wary of meeting men on the internet."She was a lonely heart just wanting love," Stephen said of his sister.

"That animal preyed on her caring nature."I still can't believe someone would want to hurt my poor, defenceless sister in such a horrific manner," he added.
